Just a lion dude. Made him after my occasional random sketches. liked him so much i continued him to this.
...to some extent, i hate this piece. I need to have audience's eyes.
might tinker some more till i like it fully without having issues with it.

The lighting and the texture of his fur is impressive! He's very well rendered! The only thing that might look a bit off is that when you put your arm in that position, the elbow would point a little more towards the camera. I think that might be what you're unsatisfied with, but overall you did an amazing job with this, he's very handsome.
nah, i've seen several references, and i think the arm is correct. what i don't like here is the coloring. i'm content with the other drawing i post on tumblr tbh. it's just that the coloring is too strong. i like painterly style that is done with simplicity (but also done professionally!) take.

idk how to explain it, putting in some synesthesia, painterly style i like is like drinking a chocolate milk.
but that one i drew tasted like i put too much sweetener in (and it's not sugar). i still love the approach i did with this, but something is just not right about it. well anyway, glad you liked it!
