I've always wondered what would happen if a goo-based character has a portion of their body separated when in a liquid state like this. Would they still have control over it all, or once it separates that's it, it's permanently off the body and nothing can be done? I would assume they can still infuse it back into themselves if they were to touch it again, heh.
Everyone interprets it differently. The way I picture it for Dorbleys is they get like, one motion while separated, like a jump or sliding under something, but after that, it becomes like drowning in darkness. You instinctively try to go up to get air, blindly - just like the goo instinctively wants to return to the mass. But away too long - it dies. So best Dorbleys stay together and keep track of the pieces. Replenishing mass takes a few days.
