On that there turbo squid, i saw a nice JP Trex model for 59 bucks. I was just amazed its so nice for how cheap it is. Posable too I suppose (your other model aint i read).
But this one is gorgeous.

Oh.. that JP "Model".. the same guy that did a "nice" spinosaurus and raptor from JP3?
Ain't worth it believe me. I got the Raptor and T-Rex.. should have checked one before I bought the other... the mesh itself is horrible.. and the textures arent looking that good when comming up close either. The mesh seems scanned from toys.. wich makes it a lot harder to work with.

So, yea, this is intensely amazing. :)

This just absolutely blew me away when I first saw it. It didn't have any of the artifacts I might expect from a 3D rendered image. It was so smooth that I thought it must have been a real photo with a dinosaur model composited in.

V-Ray, huh? I'll have to look into that. I've been using Yafray for rendering, but it's kind of clunky and would've taken ages to get results as good as this.

Yah actually .. if I turn of the texture for the floor one starts to see smudges..

It's nice that you have a 1680x1050-size picture on your site, too, but I wish you hadn't used so much compression in the jpeg. Artifacts everywhere. :J

Did you use HDR for the lighting in the background image?

For what I see the creator of the eviromental scene used standart 24bit imagery, I do have a few HDR spherical maps, but I hardly use them.
The lighting solution is a result of indirect illumination with the only light source being white light from the window.
