As security and as an EMT I'm pretty ashamed to see this happened.

Seriously, though the pic looks interesting and it may have been fun at the time, those tables are not particularly stable to strong. It would have been all too easy for one thing to go wrong and end up with Trigger in the morgue.

That would suck!

Tables like that are meant to hold a lot of weight. Doubtful if anything happened he would goto the morgue.

Tables might be able to hold a lot of weight, but that's intended to be static weight. This fursuitter would need to put all his weight on the end of the table at one point to get up and down, potentially flipping the table with him still relying on that table for support. As well with limited vision it would be likely for him (particularly considering that he was apparently intoxicated at this point, as I have learned) to mistake the placement of a foot and slip.

It's surprisingly easy to end up dead if just a little bit of luck comes up bad. Believe me, I'm an EMT. He could easily have fallen and if he just hit his neck he'd potentially be dead. The voicebox and surrounding area is easier to break that one would believe.

Even if he fell and didn't end up in the morgue, he could have ended up really badly hurt. I took a fall from about standing height in a fursuit and tore my rotator cuff, while following corporate guidelines to not hurt myself. Fursuitting is inherently somewhat more dangerous than every day life. Now, I'm not trying to say fursuitters shouldn't have fun or do anything potentially dangerous, but this was a little outrageous.

What level EMT are you?

Basic Certified, I've been doing a good deal of self training to prepare to take Paramedic courses when I can afford them though ^^

As in studying so that when I go through Medic courses I'm more prepared and already know some of what I'll be taught.

From my friend who's ACTUALLY in this field: "You can't go from EMT B to PM. The PM classes won't accept you without EMT A." Durp.

Not all states recognize any thing in between EMT-B and EMT-P. Florida for example. EMS isn't the same from county to county, nonetheless state to state.

Dumbass! Ive used those types of tables to stand on to hang a plants... Ive also fallen off my bike and slammed my windpipe into the butt of the handle bars before...walked away bruised, maybe a little rattled but just fine. Just some holier then thou retard trying to make himself bigger then he really is. I love the pic. I think it shows some imagination ^_^

Hah! I remember this too! I totally got on and off using the chair by the wall, so I guess I did have "avoid death" in mind after all.

Of course, as Trigger, I probably should've been a badass and started jumping on the edge of the table to show how much of a rebel I am ;)

I can understand people being concerned and cautious, but I really don't think you're in too much danger when you're SITTING DOWN... IN A CHAIR.

Sure, many things are potentially dangerous, but that's why we do them carefully, lol- to prove we can do them with minimal death occurring.
