Folks seem to like it. It actually is part of a "mane", or like a happy trail for the neck and chest... But he's groomed it to just the goatee..

Love the comic, but I think this statement is... off? Do you mean 'my wife, your mother'? That part kinda threw me off.

Well no.. it's Ruth's mother, and Ruth was talking so "My mother, your wife" in regard to telling his father is as fitting as it can get.
