Linoleum block print on Japanese paper.

Self portrait hand carved and printed using rolled on ink. One of the coolest mediums to work with.

Came from a picture my friend took. I transferred the photo to the linoleum block and then carved away all of the areas I wanted to stay white. Next I rolled ink onto the block and carefully set the paper onto the block. Next I used a wooden spoon to press the paper onto the block. I lifted each side of the paper off of the block one at a time to make sure that the paper was getting good ink coverage. Satisfied wit the ink I pulled it off and here it is.

Fun and very rewarding.
