Right. So way back in January 2008 I had drawn an image of a winged fox archer. And even now it's one of my favorite older drawings. And I had decided that for that week's drawing that I was going to go and redraw it. And then I looked at it again and was "oh, that is a lot of detail." Rereading my original description on Deviantart, the original took me 8 hours to complete, Four hours for sketch, four hours for color. And I probably bit off a bit more than I should have chewed for a one-off drawing. In the end it ended up taking me 10 hours to draw over 2 days.


And I really like how it turned out, especially the wings. It probably could have taken much longer if I was doing the normal way of coloring. But I was able to do an abbreviated thing for the fur effect and I think I could probably even just skip the fur effect for shorter drawings. I would say that it is definitely improved from the original, but considering the original was 13 years ago, that'd be kind of sad if it wasn't. Course that also makes 2 redraws so far this year. Might end up doing more as i go along, we'll see.
