This is an old piece of artwork my ex commissioned for me from an artist they found off of a game called Flight Rising. Luckily, I actually managed to find them on this site!
Korppipoika It is long past time I gave you credit where credit was due! I'm so glad I've been looking up the artists from older artwork, and I'm very sorry it took me so long.
I absolutely love all the detail you se in this image. You can see the grain of the fur! It changes based on where the fur is like fur actually does! The hair has natural highlights! The goatee here is exactly what I originally imagined in trying to envision the chin ruff mice have as facial hair, and its extremely easy to get that one wrong. (I would know. I could never get it myself, and its my own mouse design.) The shirt pattern has great detail in it, and i even think the simple background compliments the profile angle very well. Also, the shape & position of the ears, snout, jaw, and skull dome is actually perfect for this kind of mouse. I absolutely love that they got those anatomical details right, especially since a lot of artists don't do them as well as they think, because very few people think to check if they actually know mouse anatomy as well as they think they do. I'm not saying the other art is bad, but the fact that this artist is so detail oriented that they went the distance for that is insanely impressive.
This art feels like a renaissance master portrait artists personal "just having fun" collection. I couldn't be happier with it. Thanks so much for always doing your best, Korppipoika! I hope you are getting swamped with awe-struck fans of your work these days!
* Note, this is another older design of my mouse-sona. It was once up on my old teenage-made
KitsuneKunShinta account, but for some reason I can't find it up there anymore. Made it more important to upload it to the newer account here. As before, I will note that this design is defunct and I'm more posting it so I can appreciate the older mouse stuff, and not forget any of it. This is brilliant. Even if my mouse has updated, and needs another design tweak now. I'll always love well-made, personal art like this!
