I can't imagine I haven't posted any pictures of our new puppy yet. Meet Wizard. He's currently a 13 week old siberian husky puppy. Very cute, and generally well behaved, as huskies go. He's also keeping Rio entertained, and vice versa.
Here's a video I got of the two of them that's up on YouTube:

what a wonderful puppy!!! he is so pretty and that video was so cute and hilarious. We want to get a dog once we move into a bigger place and we really have been contemplating a husky....we both have always thought they were the prettiest dogs-and i know people say they can be kind of a handful...i have never technically owned a dog but my significant other has had many of them and knows what he is doing. Are they really as hard to handle as people say? Also do you think they are the kind of dog that could live with cats, if they were around them from puppyhood?
Glad you like our little Wizard! I've only lived with two huskies (Rio and Wizard) and both have been exceptions to the rule for the breed. Wizard is WAY more calm and trustworthy than your typical husky, and a true joy to be raising. I don't know if it's the way we (Brer, especially) have raised the dogs, or if it's the breeding, but there's probably a good amount of both involved. Different breeders focus on different things, and both the ones we got dogs from focused on well mannered members of the family more than performance athletes. We selected Wizard from his litter in part because he was the most people-focused, which will be good for stuff like obedience and agility.
And as for cats, that probably depends on the cats and the dog. Unless the husky is totally unruly it should be able to get along with cats, especially if raised from a young age with them. Huskies are known for having a strong prey drive, but the local Siberian husky rescue we've worked with has been known to place huskies in adoption households that have cats.
Good luck!
