Chinese Zodiac: It's a rat.They have two different characters for rats and mice- And they always use the rat. (Same with the year of the boar/pig.)

And no, I refuse to believe that. I mean, who's ever heard of a female rooster?

(If I remember, 6 of the Brush gods are female, and 6 male. Part of the whole yin/yang duality thing. The male ones being the Rat, the horse, the the tiger, the monkeys, the dragon, and the Rooster if I remember. Though they're all ambiguous really.)
