Known to be hardy and loyal mounts, Plasmacorns are best kept in harsh conditions with a lot of heat to help power their internal chemical reactions, their mane and tails are their aesthetically pleasing waste products, and can be color changed by feeding the beast any number of chemical or mineral treats. Powerful and swift, wild herds can rarely be found in volcanic vents. Each individual has a metal chassis that is continually replaced, so wild-types tend to be an amalgam of different metals and host a lovely natural patina while captive animals usually display a single metal or simple composite, polished to a high shine through tender care. Often seen in space westerns and occasionally infesting brown dwarves in unrealistic numbers. These creatures are always a delight to encounter, and can survive long periods away from their inhospitable feeding and breeding grounds, so one does not always need a hazard suit to play with them!
