Himbo Frankensteins Monster Ref
WARNING: may contain spoilers to the original Frankenstein book by Mary Shelley, so if you don’t want any spoilers don’t read!!
***
More of my rendition of the monster from the original Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
I decided to take the time to reread the actual book so I can get more descriptions of the monster himself and what he was meant to look like so I can portray him accurately.
Also I realize that while most people may know the story of Frankenstein, they might not know what the monster actually looked like, so let me give you some facts.
-The name of the monster is NOT Frankenstein, he actually doesn’t have a name. Frankenstein is the name of the man who created him.
-Unlike Hollywood portrayals, Frankenstein isn’t actually green and he doesn’t speak like a toddler (“Fire bad!”). He is meant to be much paler looking, with black hair, glossy yellow eyes, and perfect white teeth. He is also super tall, 8 feet tall to be exact. And he isn’t a stupid, lumbering creature, he’s very sentient and he speaks like an Oxford student.
-Also another unrelated detail but Frankenstein wasn’t brought to life with electricity, he was brought to life with chemistry.
Anyways, I decided to take all these details and apply them to my monster boy to make him more accurate. I think it makes for a very cool and almost zombie-like design!
I wanted his flesh to look very textured and grainy, as well as showing a lot of veins since he’s pretty pale. I went with more ‘dead’ colors for his skin to portray more of a rotting-corpse look. His body parts are also discolored since it is said that Frankenstein used multiple limbs from different people to create him.
Sorry I'm a big nerd
