About a month behind schedule, I finally managed to pound this out to a point where I feel comfortable submitting it. Like just about everything else I've done, I'm not entirely happy with it, but after five weeks of struggling with it I'd rather make do with what's here than start over from scratch a fifth time.
This is probably one of the shortest pieces I've done so far at around 24KB, but a snack probably wouldn't hurt all the same. Happy reading, and feedback is most welcome (and wanted).
