After my heart dropped from yesterdays failure, I decided to take this CTH Assassin off the wall; it was in bad shape and needed a lot of minor repairs. Swapped out the old 3520 1700Kv motor for an Aerostar 3528 1780Kv motor, used a 7056 tri-blade polycarbonate+ABS plastic prop instead of the original APC 7x4E composite plastic prop (firm but brittle) and changed the motor mount from a heavy steel L-bracket to a light weight aluminum motor mount. I also used a 4s 2200mAh Lipo on a single 60a esc and this wing flew gently at 15mph or as fast as a rocket clocked at 117mph. Kudos to the fearless stranger holding the speed-gun as I flew passed her several times as close as 10 feet to her. XD In the end, that motor was HOT; esc was just barely hot enough to hold in my hand! 8D
