In life, Talar Gint had been blessed with visions of future events and dreams of days to come. Dreams that filled him with ambition. Ambition to ensure these dreams came to pass as he saw them, or as he wanted to see them. As he trained in magic the young Talar Gint proved exceptionally gifted with the arts of divination, particularly far-seeing and prophecy. And using these gifts, he decided it wasn't merely enough to give others warning, but to actively decide to intervene and stay the hand of fate himself. Including for himself.

Now after millennia, the wretched fiend self titled "The Lord of Maggots" has had his hand in many magical affairs, influencing events from behind the scenes to outright intervening himself if things fell to far from his plans. The few living he employ believe he fully intends to lead them to the better tomorrow he promises, but the dead he commands keep silent to if he speaks his visions true.
