Here is a little bit of info: She was suicidal and welcomed death from a charging monster. She survived but the infection turned her into a mindless beast. She lived for weeks as a monster that just hunts and kills. In time she stabilized and her mind slowly returned to her. The entire experience filled her with the will to live and eagerness to earn a better place in a changed world.
