True, I'm not sure why I decided to draw him shirtless this time--it seems to be a first, actually! I find the dark shirts usually contrast well with his light, sandy coloration and add a bit of visual interest.
Maybe his mom is deciding whether he should have a spooky flaming skull or a skull and crossbones today. Sandy does strike me as the type that would be both a dork and a metalhead and would dress her baby accordingly. She probably listens to rock and metal while driving around and isn't about to put some lame baby music on just because she has a baby in the car with her sometimes.
It's interesting how design choices I just sorta make at random end up being things to build characterization off of sometimes.
