"The Dresden Files RPG: White Lion"
This is a drawing I did when I just needed to do something for myself over the weekend. His name is Mark Leone. He's a guy who wields the sword of the Egyptian god Maahes. He is charged with being a guardian and avenging angel of for the people of San Francisco. Using the enhanced strength and endurance he gains from the sword he fights against the injustices perpetrated by those who use magic to cheat, swindle and use people in ways the law isn't equipped to prosecute.
Mark is the character I made for the new Dresden Files RPG a couple of my friends and I are going to be playing eventually based in San Francisco. Those of you who like role playing games and/or are a fan of the book series check it out here

I want to, but between money and my bookstore only carrying half the books I want it's hard. I'm still trying to find the second book in the Kingmaker Kingbreaker series (The first ends on a cliff :( ), as well as the third in the Dresden Files. I swear the bookstores around here check what books to not carry when I'm around >.>
I like audio books personally. At least when they're read by James Marsters. Yes, Spike from Buffy the Vampire slayer, but he does a really good job of hiding the British accent, and he's really quite theatrical. Most of the time when I'm listening to them my brain is basically running the movie in my head so I like them.
Ah, so GOOD to see that I'm not the only person getting sucked into the joy of the Dresden Files and the recently debuted RPG. I'm kind of a Jim Butcher junkie, and I love the way that the game books are incorporated into the continuity of the novels.
Let's see: San Fransisco, exotic dancer, protection from cheats, swindles, and other ways of taking advantage of people... This fellow is going to have LOTS of interactions with the local White Court vamps, isn't he?

It's a feet in the water campaign so it might be awhile before he goes up against actual white court vamps, but he'll probably run into some of their lackeys from time to time in the beginning. Maybe a white court virgin, but he'd get the floor mopped with him if he tried to take on any full vampire as he is.
Ah, I see! So he's a very fresh Emissary of a Power, if that's the route you went. Lot's of growth potential, though...
Also, the White Court likes doing business indirectly, so maybe he'll be meddling more with their local schemes than he realizes...or vice versa. Maybe there's the "friendly" vamp (or WC virgin, possibly in disguise) that just wants to help, dropping hints and clues now and then, or passing them on through others...

It's possible. I'm pretty sure we'll inevitably end up messing with their plans along the way. For right now we're dealing more with minor talents using their powers to cheat people or people on drugs that give them enhanced abilities or magic items that let people walk through walls which lets them evade detection at murder scenes and stuff like that. We'll work up to the major supernatural powers eventually. Right now there's a lot of plain folk with unrestricted magical abilities that need a good swift kick in the balls.
