Roaming far and wide around the land can get tiring, even for a warrior with high endurance. In these lands, settlements and civilisation are few and far between, and trekking through the wilderness can be rough. So I'm grateful when I'm able to hitch a ride from one place to the next. Makes the journey go a lot faster. Good to have someone to talk to as well. Or, talk at, at least.
Of course, the danger of the wilds is even greater for an animal not used to it. So now I have to protect my mighty steed, as well. So much for an easier trek.

I partly envy you, for there is not a horse that can withstand my truly enormous dimensions even in its anthro form, and considering that I belong to the biological species of the wingless dragon, it is not even worth thinking about flying. I have to travel by the ancient precepts of walking (not including the use of magical manipulation to move in space), and in the process constantly find adventures on my tail.
