the people in charge now days seem to be controlled by three things
big business (wallstreet ,big oil ,big coal etc)
religion
and overly protective parents who freak out about the smallest little bit of violence nudity showing of religion etc (they took away Halloween at my high-school before I graduated a holiday based on costumes and candy WTF)
