Looking good! The only suggestion I can give is that the raichu's right knee shouldn't have any light on it because the light is seemingly coming from behind the leg and thus wouldn't give any light to the knee itself.

Nice job with your shading here, Geoff! It's cool to see you adding shade and light to your characters, it really brings out a new dynamic to your work. Keep going with it! ^^

You are! And learning shading and highlighting takes time, I mean, I've been doing that with my work for the last couple years and I still get some of it placed wrong sometimes! lol

Try looking at photos of the poses you're doing and look at where the light source is hitting, that should help with some of it, the instinct part of figuring out the details will come with practice and time. I used to shy away from shading because I thought it would ruin my pictures, but each time I did it, it got better and better. You'll get the hang of it too, and it'll become second nature! ^^
