i had never seen a mouse with a fuzzy tail either until this commission, i think the reason i had never heard of it before is because the hazel dormouse is an endangered european mouse species. over here our mice have fleshy tails.

Haha I was about to comment on another picture that for some reason it did not look as "mousish" as I thought you could do, but now that I know it's a dormouse, it all makes sens. :)

looking at the reference pics i'd say you went a little too big with the eyes in proportion to the size of the head. So it does look a little bulgy off, I love what you did with the paws though!

BUT. I if the eyes were smaller and moreso off to the side like a real little mousy it would give low to no frontal visibility.
So i actually LIKE what you did with the eyes.
I think you copied the reference really well and still kept it cute.
I would be so worried about someone tripping in the tail and breaking the wire though!.
