Years ago (1980?) I watched a tri-gear B-18 loading up at FLL. The men walking out to board were all well over 300 pounds each. As the last man got on, the airplane did a slow sit down on the tail. Then the pilot came out and climbed aboard. As he moved forward to the cockpit, she slowly came back down onto the nose gear.
They taxied out like that.
