How is Piczel vs Picarto? One of my other artfriends is getting increasingly frustrated with Picarto's constant hangups but is hesitant to abandon a paid subscription and site they know to one that might be just as trying.

its small but seems to work well - i haven't been getting many hangups and disconnects, the streaming seems more stable and the moderators/admins were very helpful in helping me set up - I've been testing it because i got a month free premium and I'm liking it a lot, you can multistream up to four people even on the free version, and there are very good chat emotes available!
their premium is also cheaper than picartos, only 10 a month. Honestly I'm liking it more - it feels better run atm, but i suppose the real test will be how it handles when traffic starts picking up there!
