Here is the lean-to that has been re-built. It was on the 20th of May that I had went out into the woods to enjoy my birthday and use my new metal detector. I found out the lean-to had caved in, the saw horse was thrown over, and the two chairs I made were smashed and tossed.
My best guess was that area was visited by dumb prancing deer and one of them fell through the roof because it was very very sloped in the back side so it could easily be confused as a hill if you're dumb and prancing through the woods.
It has taken me quite a while to make this new one, mainly because it's friggen hot out. I made the first one during the winter and that was no problem.
This new lean-to is made of maple saplings, birch bark stapled to the trunks, paracord lashing, various nails and even more staples. The roof is a tarp splayed and stapled onto a frame. I went a little crazy with the staples.
There is a bunch of bark and leaves and sticks I tossed onto the roof to make it a bit more brown and not so bright white.
I can finally get back to making charcoal and doing more blacksmithing works since this is now done.
