Treasure is different for everyone
I have a bad habit: after public streams a lot of time passes until I actually upload my works... But this one is finally here and finished :D For a long time I wanted to make a picture where a dragon sits on his treasures, because I really like this fantasy trope. But I switched gold and gems to books, because it gave an extra meaning to the picture. And on one hand I also wanted to practice the small, almost minimalist type of backgrounds too. These type of backgrounds always highlighted the characters very well for me :)

To be honest every character I created so far have a chance to appear in any comic projects. :D Especially if I need side characters or anybody in the background. But they also can give ideas to main characters. So when I in need of characters I just look around in my gallery. (This is one of the reasons why I don’t ask the audience for characters if I want to fill a space.)
I could easily see this character belonging somewhere in Zaphira's world, possibly having something to do with the magic that allowed her to access her secret library.
Regardless, they seem to be a friendly sort of dragon and the type who would gladly share the treasures of their hoard with you. Of course, it would only be polite to share similar treasures of one's own them. :)

Because many of you told me this picture would look a great bookmark, I just visited a few websites :D Abroad the price is very high to produce it so I'll look around inland. To be honest I look at these out of curiosity, so I don’t know if I want to do this or anything yet. But these are exciting things ^^

I've already thought up of where to put it in one of my worlds, where a pair of scavengers ended up adopting a dragon kid who was very lonely, even though he had a giant pile of treasure. Then after meeting them, decided that he wants a lot of friends.
Or, even more adorable, a "Komi san can't communicate" style plot about a dragon gaining friends.

I love the idea of a dragon who's hoard is just vast, vast pile of books, all neatly catalogued and ordered. Now I imagine him as just being like the main lore master for the whole area, the one that all the adventurers go to when they need to know some really, really ancient stuff.
