Holy pants, I'm actually submitting something! XD
Just a very quick preview of something
Hickie and I are doing together - a cover of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'.
Very rough mix of the intro here, I'll sort it out a bit more once I decide if I want to replay the guitars or not. Sadly, I couldn't get hold of a suitable 12-string, so six will have to do for the 'radiofied' backing guitar at the moment.
Before anyone unfamiliar with the track asks, yes, the first backing guitar really *is* supposed to sound like it's coming from a crummy little transistor radio with a 1" speaker, I haven't suddenly gone deaf in the 1khz region. ;) I might not be quite so faithful to the original when it's all done, but it was fun to play with silly filters and noise generators - I'm still more used to 24-track reel to reel rather than all this new fangled technological fanciness, heheh.
Still much to do, not least remembering how to play piano, but thought I'd pop a quick rough preview up first!
Expect the finished article sometime soonishly, or at least when I finish probably re-recording it 18 million times to satisfy my rather daft ears and to eliminate all traces of duff notes caused by my sausage fingers. :D
