Maybe its not the biggest feat, but today she enjoyed some pears from a jar, eaten and swallowed off her spoon. She's come so far in five months. She was a trooper this week getting her shots at the doctor. Cried all of thirty seconds. She was a trooper through the fitting of her boots. She was a trooper through the surgery and all the casts she had to have... She survived me being diabetic and other medical issues. She survived all the medication I was on before finding out I was pregnant without complications...
She survived all that so far.

Such a strong girl, such a strong mother, I'm proud of the both of you, She's come so far since being born, she's already been through more than some adults, and she keeps on rolling, and you've been right there alongside her :)

I have had diabetes for 14 years now which causes complications in brain, heart, and digestive systems in the babies. It can also causes seizure disorders in some as well... luckily she had none of those. She did have club foot which caused her to be casted every week until she had surgery to nick a tendon, then more cast, now she wears a brace to straighten and strengthen it.
I took high dose antibiotics to fight a blood infection before we knew i was pregnant. I was extremely high risks and there were complications afterward. Its really a miricale we both made it ^_^

Wow. Both of you seem to be very lucky to have one another, even given the circumstances. I don't really know what to say other than I wish you both the most luck in the rest of your lives. She's very adorable, and as it seems, stubborn against odds, but my only guess is she gets it from you. (: It makes me happy, in a way I can't even begin to express, for both of you as well as it just makes me feel... better. I absolutely love kids and I really feel the need to say thank you.
