here is the little sister of the character candi by
kacey
you may notice she is a red panda with a white tail tip.
please look at : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4232095/
it will explain why her tail tip is white.
this image had many challenge for me.
- in the past i had done an image of ace with a weapon in her hand. compared to this image it seems very primitive. the pistol in the older image is more detailed, to the point many of you were able to know exactly what it was on first glance. in this image i was desire the weapon to obviously be an auto-pistol, but not any type we would know. it is part of the image, but not the focus.
- texture : learning it. using it. a lot more time does take than just colour on skin.
- focus by contrast : the focus of the image should be her eyes. i hope it does show that.
i wrote a short story to introduce her to our universe. it is not told from her viewpoint.

Wonderful image.
One minor detail, if you ever do a similar image. The bore (inside of the barrel) will usually be silver or gray in color. Even if it was black when it was new, it doesn't take that many rounds to remove the finish and show the polished steel. Like I said, a very minor detail.

It's always neat to see the siblings of other characters. Besides, I've always liked Candi a lot, so I can't say I complain. Even if she's pointing a gun at me... and that is when you fall in love?
Very nice job on this one! And I've probably said this before, but you really have a talent for drawing eyes. I really haven't seen anything like them in the community.

eyes are the first thing i see when i look at anyone. they are my favourite feature.
to create them i use a multiple layer approach.
the eye is inked outside the iris. i do not ink the pupil, only pencil in, fully pencil in. i also pencil a light outline where i feel i desire to place the light reflections on the iris.
i choose my base colour, which is about three shades more light than i wish to see. this i will colour in all of the iris but the pupil and reflection area. after it does dry, i will start to shape the iris with the marker. this may take up to three layers more. it creates a layered effect, making an illusion of a solid colour.
after that i will go in with the same marker and add in the shadows, making more dark still where i had shaped.
next is to take a dark grey, or in her case i did use the same black i did use for her black fur. this is only for the pupil.
finally, i will use two separate colour in pencil to add a small amount of extra shadow. it does make a texture change and illusion of depth.
of course, i also use a light grey layering effect on the white of eye for shadows and shaping. but that is boring and any one can do it easy.
