A self-insert OC I made for  reyn_puppeh 's comic,  cavesandcritters since I'm such a huge fan of the series.

The self-insert retains my name and fursona's base form. He is a Runic Mage who has a knack for creating and charming his own runes and placing them on gemstones to use as a more permanent solution to drawing them in the air. I am given to understand that most runic mages in the comic merely draw the runes in the air, but since I haven't seen it in action I can only presume the spells are temporary. Drawing them on these gems makes his spells more permanent. As long as the gem is intact, so is the spell. he wears two of them on his person. The Charm of Perfect Sight aids his bad eyesight. He wears it upon a circlet around his head. It causes his eyes to have a permanent glow, but he can see perfectly and have other forms of sight at will.

The second charm he wears is a bit more for a sexual thrill. The Charm of False Clothing is a gem he's bound to his magic aura. It appears to be connected to his shirt like a brooch, but it is a lie. His clothing does not actually exist, but appears like it does to those with normal vision. In actuality, he's as nude as Lida on a daily basis. He never gets in trouble as he is the only one who can remove the charm without it being destroyed. So to local law enforcement and other people around, he is fully dressed.

He is a nomadic type. He enjoys exploring the world and finding new discoveries to add to his personal maps, which he makes as a hobby and sells if people desire a grand map. Because of his nomadic tendencies and love for exploration, he often liked to go treasure hunting not just for the money, but for the thrill of adventure. He also takes the occasional bounty if he thinks that it's worth the trouble. He is fairly good with combat runes and is a decent fighter with his spells.
