This years Rocky Mountain Furcon theme is the old west. And being a fan of old westerns this idea popped into my head. Cue the Clint Eastwood music! Since Im the guest of honour this year I got to the proogramme book cover and this is the result. 11x17 acrylic on illustration board. Pints available and the original will be in the art show.

I just felt instantly in love with this piece.
It also gave flash backs to an old game called Law of The West. But, that would make the deer the drunk deputy with a problem chip on his shoulder and the feline the sherrif that always was a bit slow on the draw.

The game had impressive visuals for being a 1985 release, even if 98% of the image was still life. Believe it or not, the game relied mostly on text for an interactive engine and was 95% conversation and a painfully slow 5% aim-and-shoot type of game.
