CARAVAN WINS!!!!!!
....my car...MY FUCKING CAR!!!! AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!! GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!!!!
*pant, pant, pant* Siiiigggghhh....Park the car at the train station. Go to work down town. Stayed to watch Inception (Which is Unbelievable by the way). Left work and took train back to where car is. Lots of police lights flashing about, figured some kinda gun incident happened or whatever. Security guards notice me and start pointing (Walking out of a dark alley probably didn't help) then I walk towards the commotion.......this cannot be fucking real. My car's front end is crushed to bejesus and back. It's been hit so hard, that it was driven into the concrete supports of a viaduct that I was parked 30 FEET away from.
3 months..Three fucking months, $3600...I collapsed on the asphalt with my head in my hands. the security rushed over to me thinking I was in that crash and may have been delirious and hurt. I nearly lost my mind. i worked so hard to get a new car. it was all paid off, I had no car note. The car was MINE. I owned it period. Now it's garbage.
Good news: The woman has full coverage (Hopefully)
Bad: I only have liability insurance

Depending on how much the woman who totaled my car's insurance gives me, I have to start all over again and find a car. What sucks is, when I bought the car it was in amazing condition and only had 57000 miles on it even though it was a '96! It had power windows, removable cdplayer/radio face power locks, remote locks, serious satellite ready, awesome A/C, a pristine engine, one other owner, and my personal favorite...A remote start.....
I have a Corvette too! http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/....._4637-Copy.jpg
I bet yours is way nicer though! LOL

Wow man that really sux. How on God's green earth is that woman driving around with a serious health condition in the first place?! Do they have laws in your state to prevent that from happening? Thank god your still in one piece bro but hey hopefully you'll get a better car. Man all that money you put into your car I know the feeling, my friend’s 82 Pontiac Trans-am was stolen on his 21st birthday he put 5 grand into pimping his ride. The police found his ride totally cleaned of its contents the following morning!! Police of course didn’t do much shit about finding the bastards.
good thing u weren't in it
i was in my car when my big accident happened
i was going down the freeway and hit a turn on the far right lane hit a patch of ice and slid and flipped my car
$1600 in medical bills and $5000 to fix my car
the funny thing is...... as messed up as my car was it wasn't classified as totaled :)
but this happened 4 years ago
so i know what u are going through and i hope all goes well for ya

In the case of her blacking out while driving . . . she shouldn't even be touching that wheel. My mother came down with MS years ago and knew once her vertigo got bad to take herself off the road. That was to prevent shit like this from happening. Gah, I hope you get your money, too . . . No one, NO ONE, should have to suffer in any way because a person doesn't know/care about their limits in life.
And I understand the car get hit and your heart sinking. Back in 2006, I was visiting a friend. My car was parked, legally, on the main street out front (small town/village). I guess when I arrived I had no idea, but my friend's mother's new husband had been drinking and arguing. Next thing I knew he got into an unregistered, uninsured vehicle. He reversed from the driveway into the main street, stopped, looked at my 89 Thunderbird, and fully reversed into the front and down the driver's side. Then took off like a mad man . . . I watched this from an upstairs window. I don't ever remeber going down the stairs I moved soo fast to see the damage. It was my first car, that I kept tidy and up to date and a reject takes his anger out on it. And I live in New York State. There is No Fault, so even though the car was off and legally parked, my insurance rates went up. A neighbor who saw the incident, took a crowbar and peeled the metal back so that my driver's side door would work.

I know this might be a bad time for humor, but after reading your story I have reason to believe that your ride got Mike Haggar'd: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQCB.....eature=related .
In all seriousness that sucks and I hope your insurance covers it completely.

If no insurance then sue her (If you can afford to spend the time on it) This isn't just about what type of car you had or what the car could do this is also about what you needed it for. Going back and forth to work without having to go through the extra tim and effort (and cash) To get a taxi take a tram/train/bus to get to where you need to and now... you will have to walk as well get up earlier to get things done.
Things are too difficult right now for people to be taking these types of chances. If she really need to get somewhere she should of called someone. If the accident (not really an accident it was fuck up on her part) happened not to long before you got there that means, she is driving at night. In her condition that by itself is a hazard especially if her blood sugar was low. There is no way for her to avoid the question of why she was out there as well. It would would have to be a crisis situation for her to drive.
I'm not saying this stuff out of anger or anything. Fact is your daily life has no been effected due to her bad judgment. Don't know all the details behind her reason for driving, but if its not a good reason I would say get your money however you can no matter her current situation.
Now that that is said and done... how is the lady doing? She suffer an injuries from this?

I may have missed it in all the comments, but... How are you liable for this? Were you parked illegally or something?
Dude, she should have to completely replace your car. Is it at least salvageable? Don't let people tell you otherwise... even if the body and frame are wrecked, there's a ton of good parts in a car you can get good money from. Maybe you could use those parts to help you get a start on a new car, if you have to.

I'm not liable. I just only have liability insurance coverage. She hit my car so hard the engine mounts broke off. If you look at the pic above, you'll see that my front passenger side frame (Shocks and all) have been ripped out. These assholes are giving me some goddamn money so I can get a new car.
Dude, I honestly can't see how she shouldn't be required to replace your whole car after something like that! The only thing you should have to deal with is getting money for what was left of your car; she totaled it, so she should be responsible for replacing it completely, not just giving you some small amount of what a replacement is going to cost you.
If they try to cut you short of completely replacing your car at NO cost to you, then you should offer to take her to court over it and sue them not only for the money to replace your vehicle, but for any court costs incurred while this is going on. Nothing like this should ever have happened.
How exactly did she manage to get up that much speed to broadside a parked car that hard anyway? Is the driver in the hospital or something, or were they drunk, or high? It had to be something like that...

And that is totally fooked that someone with that kind of illness is allowed to drive. If it were me, I would have her license revoked immediately.
Right now, I am trying to get my roommate to stop driving as he scares the living carp out me (driving the wrong way, nearly rear-ending 6 cars 25 times within 3 miles, running red lights, etc)

WOW, that's just some fucked up shit right there, sorry about the car, but hey it can probably get better right, all i can say is you probably felt like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YersIyzsOpc afterwards
Wow that sucks, I can't believe you paid $3600 for a 15 year old Grand Prix... I'm glad you were not there when it happened, could you imaging if it had happened as you were walking past... I've been in a few bad crashes that were not my fault, and I have a permanent limp and short term memory issues because of it, so be glad it was your car and not your body that got trashed.
Ouuuuch!! That totally sucks x___x
That happened to my mom before- except she bought the car a week before. She had it parked out front of her friend's apartment, and a car full of drunk kids crashed into her car- it was like NEW. Bought it off an elderly woman who barely drove it. The back seat belts still had the fucking plastic from the factory on them Dx
But hey, be glad you weren't IN it when it happened!
