working on a story in my head (i rarely write anymore but i might) but i enjoy drawing the characters. this little guy is the main character, they are a small (ish) dragon species similar to avian dinosaurs. he wears the feather of his deceased brother behind his ear and has alot of scars from the incident.
this is a small WIP for a bigger piece. whether or not i finish it though is a different story.

species notes:
fully feathered except snout and lower legs.
front legs have raptor like kill claws
back legs have small rooster like spurs.
very thin and agile meant for living in thick forests
small compared to the other species in the story, about 10' high at the top of the head.
behavior is very similar to birds and is colonial.
cannot breath fire and has no powers
sometime predated on by larger species
ears are horse like
usually dark with brighter color highlights or iridescent, like the brighter corvid species. can be any color though.
