Weeks passed. Then months. Nurth still very much enjoyed the chance to bask outside when possible, even as it seemed that possibility was increasingly unlikely.
Those nagging objections from his subconscious were getting a little more... well, conscious. And urgent.
Even when he made up his mind that he would expend the effort rolling himself upright, and squirm in that arduous two-or-three-legged dance required to reach the entrance... Nurth was just as likely to find himself wedged in place. Exhausted. Gasping and stewing in his own sweat. Forced to wait for an assist.

The sun was often warming the rocks on that side of the cave, giving him a partial basking -- even if he were more than warm enough from the heat of his exertions. He could bring himself to relax despite the embrace digging into his sprawling torso. As places to nap went, it really wasn't so bad.

And as it turned out, Friss was more than happy to play caterer whether Nurth managed to squeeze through the narrowing entrance or not.
