It's not always easy keeping conversation with a large bear. Especially one who seems to be growing with every step he took. First, he had a hard time keeping his feet on the sidewalk, then even the road wasn't enough room for him to fit. He could easily reach buildings at both sides of the road as they closed in. Yet he never seemed to notice... well... Never said anything that is. His shoulders started to rub against both buildings. Enough so that he had to turn a bit to not break anything. Eventually, the giant bear stopped walking which halted his growth. He leaned against one of the large buildings, which he could just barely peek over, and looked down at you. "Getting pretty cramped in here, huh?" He said. You were only barely taller than his toes.
Wait... With a closer look, you could see that the giant was still growing. Only slower.
After getting a few packs for some pre-made buildings, I decided to try some out. It's not a complex scene, really. Though it definitely shows off the quality of the models well.
Though this was going to be Page 3 for "Large Spaces May Be Too Small", it turns out I used the wrong save to build this render off of and Mike ended up only being 60ft tall (only about 8-10ft taller than he was in page 2), so I've made the render its own thing.

This is gud! >:D City renders are always gud. The reflections from that one building really add to it, very well placed owo. Also ghnngh the way he grins down is just perfect owo.
Love the render and the writing! All of your posts are slowly persuading me to try and pick up blender again and give it another shot since it has a lot more freedom over SFM. Always been a struggle for me to get a grasp on but I'm sure with enough patience I'll get somewhere.

Ye! These renders are really helping me get back into the swing of full-background stuff instead of a single character render with a colored background.
Nothing's better than a growing giant who knows he outsizes you many times over.
It's nice to know that my stuff is helping people try Blender out! I'd be happy to help if you need any!

Indeed! And yeah, backgrounds add so much to a piece, drawing or render. Especially when they provide a good sense of scale ;p
And thanks! I already use blender occasionally to export my sfms through image sequence, but other than that the most I've ever done with it is load up a springtrap model and get SUPER confused. You seem to really know what you're doing though!

Oooh! Yeah, thats quite a long time. Your modeling is pretty good! Must be fun being able to give all of your models features and abilities like that ;p
I've only used sfm for about 3 years. Its fun but the program can be super frustrating with all of its crashes and bugs. Have been sitting here wondering if I should wait in S2FM or get the gear with blender

S2FM (From Half Life Alyx's workshop tools) isn't too bad. Mostly the same with a few rendering upgrades and UI updates/changes. Though not as much content yet (Which is honestly fine since you can import .fbx models into it). I haven't used it too much other than playing around with it. Since it comes with Alyx, you do get a good range of maps to use like the whole city pretty much that you start in. I should probably try toying around with it again.
Blender's definitely a lot more flexible if you take your time to learn it. It's pretty much become an all-in-one toolset.

Ye, the thing I'm mostly excited for is not having to deal with as many crashes and bugs. I'm not sure if theres a workaround, but making a model get bigger through an animation can really break things which is a huge bummer >:l
But yah! I've seen a lot of the options and what people have done with it! Can be quite fun it looks. Guess I'll give myself another go at trying to get the basics down xp

Fantastic! I’ve said it before but this really motivating me to write some more. I’m seriously enjoying your works and your writing. You have a serious talent for it. :)
