Last night there was a CLAW "Open Swim" event where we did one of our cartooning competitions. The theme was B-Movie posters you'd want to see. I took my shading markers and a brush and bottle of ink and a 11"x17" comic book cover page pad, and during the hour time limit, I made this. I added the digital tone today before I posted it to the CLAW site. I was going for a fast, stylized look, so I tried to keep it loose.
I tied for first place and have been encouraged to make this my 24-hour comic project (coming later this year.) Anyway--ENJOY!

Actually--I just used two light gray markers and the black lines were done with a brush and ink right out of the bottle. The whole point was I had less than an hour to come up with it and draw it, so it was done fairly down and dirty. The borwnish tone in the background I did in photoshop the next day. One of the other guys actually colored in their entry and I wanted mine to be pretty too, so I added a block of color and used the eraser tool to make highlighted areas--that whole process took about 5 minutes. It's REALLY loose.
