Empress Zyrelia stood in the hallway, awaiting for a moment as she was accompanied by the few officers and personal Centurion guards she kept for diplomatic visits and missions. Moving along with them near the rear of the guarding circle, moving through the hallway for the main doors, was a photographer she was introduced to by one of the officers, a well-known photographer in the social spaces that specialized in photos for people of importance across the galaxies that were all withheld under New Aurelia. She was commissioned for just a moment of her time, and trading it with a moment of Shyv's own, not to mention decent pay and free food, she was given the privilege to meet one of the more newer leaders of what was once a smaller federation became one of the largest and most powerful empires New Aurelia has ever seen, born from the ashes of a war that almost ended everyone involved in it.
Shyv spoke up, a hint of robotic rasp combined with a marvelously feminine commanding voice echoing through the hallway leading to the Main Halls of her ship, warping close to the world she was soon to visit. For such important diplomatic missions, especially when the United Worlds was involved and visited, she always preferred to keep a visual official record of her travels. Was helpful for both diplomacy, safekeeping, and security. "Photographer. If you would please..." she spoke, waving a cyberized hand to the somewhat-nervous lizard from the back of the ball of people that were much more grizzled than they all appeared to be. Doesn't help the excessive amount of warping has time-lagged many of them, a small price to pay for travelling so much so often. The lizard waved themselves through the small crowd before feasting her eyes on the shark walking before a set of large doors, almost dwarfed by the shark's almost-defiant size of 2.75 meters tall, even taller than her largest bodyguards by quite a significant margin. It's not often you'd think of the term "final boss" when meeting political leaders.
The cybernetic megalodon maneuvered herself to the doors before spinning in place with quick and precise movement, turning to the lizard in front for a request. "If it is possible, I would like a picture taken here, please. Something to keep for recording purposes, so to speak. And perhaps something for your own portfolio." she smiled and nodded, motioning her forward before setting her ceremonial sword below her arm, posing in quite a fabulous position. For someone with such physical, mental, technological and commanding power, not to mention holding decades, almost centuries, of experience and campaigns under her collar, she still remained overwhelmingly polite, almost to a fault. But to her, power was just a privilege despite being an Empress, and in many ways, power was overrated. The photographer was stunned for a moment before walking closer, setting down the hover pod for her camera before priming her GigaPix camera, preparing for a shot that she doubt she'll ever forget.
Something of a short little writeup I thought while a little tired on a Wednesday night. Tried to load up some of it without it feeling too overbearing, which is a challenge considering it's been years since I wrote to nearly such an extent. Ah well, practice makes perfect eh?

She. She does not have a comic planned but I do intend to expand on her story, yes. I just need to stop being lazy, but it's not really a story at all: rather it's a semi-unique universe slightly based off of EVE Online among other scifi concepts. Most of it is custom though.
An absolutely fabulous piece indeed ; v ; Your shark looking incredibly nice, and with such a delightful piece of writing to go with it! Really creates a delightful bit of context for such a 'photo', and I always love being able to place an image into the world with a good bit of writing.
about the only Critiques I could say is in the first paragraph, the ending sentence feels like it has a lot of things it's trying to say in rapid succession. I feel it could end with a period after 'free food', then the new sentence could go something like 'She was being given the privilege to meet one of the newer leaders of what was once a smaller federation. One that has since became one of the largest-...' (keep the rest the same from there xD). That seemed to be the main thing that jumped out at me, with the only final note being in the final paragraph, not needing to declare the camera twice. So something like 'setting down the hover pod before priming her GigaPix camera' or something of that nature.
But yeah! those where just the main two things that as an aspiring writer myself, I was like 'this could be improved..' but can take my words for a grain of salt XD but I still enjoyed the read immensely regardless!

Noted! Thank you for the tips c: yea one of the grips I've had while writing is, I wanted to increase information density per sentence, but it's *really* difficult and easy to overdo as you saw. I'll have to practice and tweak cause I really do wanna expand more and more on her universe and such, but man it's not easy xD especially when tired.

Yeahh indeed XD I love to do the same, it's one of the main reasons I can catch it. It's important to read through one's work sometimes cause it can be telling when you've put to much into a sentence, when your reading it and it just keeps going and shifting topics over and over its like 'ok maybe this needs to be broken up'. Also the good rule is 'if you can't speak the sentence without taking a breath, it's probably to long.'.

indeed! cama's can be wonderful, just important to realize the difference between 'this is all the same topic' and 'this doesn't have to all be stated in one go' > 3 <. Don't need to describe a person fully in one sentence if they got a lot to cover, that's what the mighty paragraph is for XD.
