Oh, yeah, they definitely have their own language.
When we built our 'new' house 30 years ago, my brother and I stayed with my parents for a few months. My male Corgi, Strider, took a shine to our Mom (she liked to overfeed him) and would greet her in the morning with sounds he never made before.

It's a real treat to get to visit you this way. Trips to the Whackadoodle are always fun, but this is far more immediate. I can practically see everyone and hear every word (regardless of the language in which it's spoken). Your house sounds like a very nice place to visit, and live.
