Previous || START READING HERE || Next_________Agh, we're getting so close to the best part! I really wanted this page (and this scene) to be more slower-paced; I even went back and edited my initial sketches to make the build-up that much better, and I managed to squeeze Asethotep's appeal out onto a third page... but I still feel as if I could have inserted a few more panels to slow things down. I dunno -- does this feel too fast to you guys, or do you think the pacing's okay?
Oh, also -- before anyone points it out, I know that I screwed up the shrine in the last panel! The candles and incense burner are fine, but I accidentally made Set's statue face the wrong way... Whoops. I only noticed that mistake after I'd made it to the lighting phase of this page, and I didn't want to have to go back and tweak my color and shading layers (and I was also worried it'd look even sloppier if I tried a last minute fix); so, unfortunately, I just left my mistake as it was. I hope you guys can forgive me! q_q
At the very least, Asethotep appears to be trying another angle today-- whether she's being genuine or not is up for debate, but it's pretty clear that she's getting desperate for an answer.
