In-progress sculpture of a Shire filly, depicted as probably about 1-2 months old. Back in April I got to visit a rescue ranch that had the most adorable fuzzy baby Shire colt, so took lots of reference photos and this is sort of the 'practice run' before I do a larger sculpture.
While there's some difference in genders in lots of foals, honestly the big-boned draft girl babies look just as chunky and solid as the boys do. So, for the first draft (no pun intended) it's a bouncing beefy baby girl. :) Still a bit more work to do before I call this done and ready to be cast, but thought I'd share.
