It's already been done, so there's no point. I'm honestly really confused why you didn't tell me. I mean I wouldn't have minded if you wanted to commission a line/shader and a colorist separately, but isn't that something you would tell to both parties involved? Especially when, as you've stated, that you've had this planned even before the commission even started? I mean from start to finish I didn't hear anything ! Seems rather odd that you keep one side completely ignorant and call it a collaborative effort.

I seriously did not know he was going to color it. He just did it out of the blue, I swear! Oh, wait, I see, it's the description. I know my description of the picture makes it sound otherwise, but that was just me confusing you with neodokuro -- what I had asked notveryathletic to color was neodokuro's commission, which isn't done yet (per http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1553548/ ). The "kuro" part of the name got me confused, and I just didn't question it until I checked my commisison list (on my profile rooth), and see now I got you two mixed up. Since I knew he was going to color a b&w for me, and he produced this out of thin air, I just assumed it was the right one.

It wasn't.

Please believe me, I've had literally hundreds of commissions done (though very few collabs) and I'm very conscientious about keeping all parties happy. Ask any of the artists in my gallery. I would not have posted this if I hadn't gotten confused, and I certainly wouldn't have asked him to color it without your permission. It is odd, however, that notveryathletic colored it without asking you first, he's usually conscientious about that as well.

You don't need to take it down. Clients often do alter the finished image for their use (such as avatar/icons, for their websites, etc), but for a 'collaboration', a heads up would've been nice. Really, I'm not mad; just confused and somewhat flabbergasted.
But anyways there seems to have been a mix-up, and it's nothing criminal so it's no big fuss.

The funny/sad part of this coloring is the first 'gift' art I've received in ages. Ironic that it would also be the first one I would screw up the my artists' rights track record on.

I even caveated my post with "(or I might be confusing it with some other piece?)" Evidently I was!

Reeeeeaaalllly sorry! side-effect of an addled brain and 10+ outstanding commissions to track. :/

And that of course makes it sound like I knew ahead of time that he wasn't going to color it. *sigh* I know this sounds like I'm making it up, but I swear to you, when I first re-posted this, I thought it was the pre-meditated commission. Sometime between me posting this picture and me seeing your post this morning, notveryathletic informed me that it just something he felt like doing for me, so I was like, "oh, this isn't the planned one?" Then I saw your post, responded blearily, then checked my tracker on my profile, and that confirmed the confusion.
