I have a similar effect on a Templar sword my grandpa gave me that hadn't have any care in 25ish years so probably around that, maybe less if it was from gettysburg and not in a well sealed container. We run an average of about 65 humidity here in the summer, and I don't really know what the south runs, but higher.
