the elder, who is a character that is new to the GOJ Reboot.

the elder lived in hokkaido with his students, kazetora, half-ear and Morakin. it was during one of their travels through japan, that they found an injured husky/kai ken mix, named tony, who had lost not only his memory, but his two legs, right arm and left eyeball. they managed to nurse him back to health as well as comission a blacksmith to make an arm and two new legs for tony. half-ear also gives tony an eye patch. the elder offers to take tony under his wing as a student and he accepts.

years later, the elder, tony, kazetora, half-ear and morakin were captured by stone and his men and placed as hostages in a shed below the temple at hokkaido. they were soon found and rescued by the ohu army who were shocked to find tony alive but dismayed when he does not recognize them. realising that it was a trap for James, Hakuro, kurotora, Sara and Haka, the ohu army rush back to the temple and managed to stop stone from killing james.
