The night has always been my favorite time of day, a certain calm stillness to the air, the soft glow of the moon and the stars and in the heat of summer there's an even nicer chill to the air. After all the sunbathers and ocean goers have packed up and called it a day, I love to take my walk along the shore, bask in the moonlight as the calmer tides let the moon glimmer like silver on the water's surface. A deep breathe in and that was all I could ever want from a summer night, a salty breeze parting my feathers and there I was, completely at peace with the world.
