Vonnegut is more of a Humanist when it comes to his values, but his writing can definitely show someone interacts with the Absurd. XP

I would say he's more Nihilistic. Absurdism isn't a rejection of reason. It's an acceptance of the unknown, and is Humanistic in nature, because we like to think that there is some purpose to our morals and motives. We just don't want to hitch our mind's to any specific religion or philosophy because nobody can tell us that there is an absolute truth that they know.
