The summer heat beat down on everything and everyone, a breeze rushing by was like winning the lottery, and the field was only halfway done. Carrie let out a sigh and stretched a bit, relieving the tension from the day of work as the sun glowed orange against the horizon. Fieldwork was demanding but she was always game, often being the first out when harvest came and last back inside after a long day. One saving grace was that she worked alongside two good friends, a shy stallion, Ashley, and the big sister of the trio, Kelsey, a farming prodigy pig. They'd been friends growing up, Carrie pushing the other two closer as she could see the sparks between them, but as she'd sown the wind she would reap the whirlwind of the two often taking leave of work for "other" activities.
