Sythgar might be full of diverse cultures and races but interspecies relations are met with various opinions throughout the realm for a number of reasons; cultural and biological to name a few. Social status as well in the case of Azuryt and Leah. Despite his growing affection, Az shows concern about damaging her social standing more than about himself.
Side note, I am considering using Sereno's face pattern and giving something similar to Azuryt to spruce the design up a it : )
