Here is my take on Lydia Deetz as she appeared in the great 90's cartoon "Beetlejuice."
I discovered the cartoon on FOX Kids channel and the action figures before I ever saw the movie "Beetlejuice"...What a shock 7 year old me received the first time I saw the part with Barbara Maitland hanging in the closet. But after repeated viewings of the movie on the Disney Channel ( !!! ) I came to absolutely love it, and I still do. It's the best thing Tim Burton ever did, with Pee-Wee being a close second.
As far as the Nintendo game?....Well, It showed up randomly in my christmas stocking circa 1995 as Mother had bought it super cheap/used from the movie store next to our family business. I never even knew the game existed. It was not the best (It IS an LJN Game. Yikes.), but I still played it over and over until many years later I finally managed to see the terrible ending that was not worth all the hassle.
But that being said for the Movie, Cartoon and Video Game.......Please hope that it never gets the remake/sequel that Hollywood has been threatening us with for decades. Just let this icon of the 80's/90's stay as great as we all remember it.
This is a work of fiction wherein all characters are over the age of 18.
