I’ve always admired people who were able to express themselves how they see fit.
In comparison, my life was a shadow. I aged through confusion and insecurity about my identity with no guide other than outdated books and websites. All the while, I was watching others like I was their own shadow as well; hoping to be like them, thinking that one day, I’d also find my own groove and find my own space to exist in.
I found out that a masculine pride flag existed and it immediately made sense to me; not only did it feature some of my favorite colors (green, blue, and purple), but it also gave me comfort in an inclusive masculine identity I had been searching for a while.
