This is Clara(Clar(like car)-ah), she is a shape shifter, but she can only do one form.. human!!
Born and raised in Africa, Clara was a unique lioness. More unique then just her markings. Usually stories happen where the human is the one to turn into the animal, but in this case it was a lion that turned human!
She found what looked to be a necklace in a waterhole when she went with her family, only to find it only fit on her head. After she wore it for a time things started to change. The unique lion that she was became even more-so, with the colour of her fur changing to include some blue hues and blue paws.. but also the ability to control and make water!
She would place a paw to the ground and push, anywhere.. and water would appear. It seemed the jewelry gave her some powers. There was a day where she went to a human village to help, as the village had been a passing point that her and her family walked daily to the waterhole or to hunt, and she noticed that they too needed some. The wet season was late coming.
So she sat herself at the edge of the village and thought 'be two-legged'. Nothing happened. She looked up to the pendant that hung just at her forehead, lifted her paw and touched it lightly. She then slowly started to change as a human form became her own. She was dark skinned woman, just like those in the village, however the blue of her legs stayed in this form, so her now arms and legs were stained with blue. She was also gifted with sandles and a lovely blue dress.. how fitting!
She walked into the village once she figured out how to walk on two legs and went to the center. There was a well that they got their water from. She had seen before how it worked, so she used the pump and sure enough.. no water. The underground had dried up as well. She looked around to see if any were watching before placing her hand on the main part of the pump and closed her eyes. Within moments should could hear the water below and she pumped once, water! She smiled and nodded to herself, job well done. Since there was no one around she touched the pendant again and shifted into her lioness form and ran off.
Little did she know, a child was watching.. but this child was not afraid. She just smiled and laughed and said 'Clara'.
